Welcome to Tips for Humanity. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, a free, international platform where real people, whom we call "tippers," share short life tips together with their personal context.
Tips for Humanity is operated by TOP HTML, LLC, a Limited Liability Company registered in Delaware, United States.
By accessing, browsing, or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the platform.
Tips for Humanity is an open collection of tips and reflections from real people, for those living today and for future generations. Each tipper publishes their tips linked to their name or nickname, age, city, country, and publication date, and can come back over the years to add more.
Tippers can follow each other, write private messages to each other and organize events, online or in person, to write tips and values together. There are no comments under tips.
Use of the platform is free. Tips for Humanity does not display advertising and does not sell its users' data.
Besides tips, tippers can publish values: principles they consider important, with an explanation if they wish. Unless otherwise stated, everything these Terms provide for tips also applies to values (publication, permissions, content rules, moderation, deletion and license).
You can browse published tips without creating an account. To publish tips, you need a tipper account.
Accounts are created and used exclusively through Sign in with Google. We do not create or store passwords. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for the activity carried out with your tipper account.
To publish tips, you must complete your profile with your name or nickname, country, and city, and confirm that you are 18 or older. Your date of birth is optional: if you give it, your age is shown. You may optionally add a profile photo and remove it whenever you wish.
Your profile data is not verified. You agree that it will be truthful and that you will not use a name or nickname that impersonates another person or violates these Terms.
The processing of your account data is described in our Privacy Policy.
To create a tipper account and publish tips, you must be at least 18 years old. Before publishing you must confirm it in your profile; if you also give your date of birth, it must match that age.
If you have not reached that age, you must not create an account. If we become aware that an account belongs to a person who has not reached the minimum age, we may delete it.
When you publish a tip:
Each tip is always shown with the current age, city, and country in your profile. If you change this data, it is updated across your whole public profile and all of your tips.
Published tips are public. Anyone can share them, quote them, show them in videos or on social media, or take screenshots and post them elsewhere, always as they appear on the website (with your name or nickname, profile photo if you have one, age, city, and country). That use outside the platform does not depend on Tips for Humanity. If you do not want this to happen, do not publish tips, or delete the ones you have already published.
Tips cannot be edited once published: that keeps each tipper's history intact. If you want to express a different idea, you can publish a new tip and, if you wish, delete the previous one.
You can publish as many tips as you like over time, subject to a limit of a few tips per day to prevent spam and abuse.
Share respectful tips of your own. Each tip must be your own reflection, lesson, or experience.
You may not publish tips that contain:
You are solely responsible for the tips you publish.
Publishing is free: your tips are published right away, without prior review. When you publish, you choose who can see each tip, and you can change it later:
Whether a public tip appears in the searches is decided automatically by artificial intelligence (Google Gemini), which checks that it is well written and complies with these rules. This decision does not prevent the tip from being published, has no human review, and is not communicated. Appearing in the searches is not a right: it also depends on how many other tips there are.
The platform's administrators may remove tips at any time when they consider that they do not comply with these Terms or applicable law. When we remove a tip, we tell you so, with the reason, in your notifications.
If you find a tip that you believe breaks these rules or infringes your rights, you can report it with the Report button under each tip (when logged in), by emailing us at contact@tipsforhumanity.com or through our contact form. We will review the report and, where appropriate, remove the tip. Receiving a report does not by itself mean that the content will be removed automatically.
In the event of serious or repeated violations of these Terms, we may limit, suspend, or delete the account of the tipper responsible.
Groups. Any tipper can create groups (up to five per day). Whoever creates a group is its first group admin and can name others; all group admins have the same permissions, including removing other members or group admins, who then cannot join again unless a group admin allows it. Group admins are responsible for how they manage the group and must comply with these Terms. Whether a group is public or private is chosen when it is created and cannot be changed later. A public group is joined with one click; in a private one, its invitation link sends a request that a group admin must accept. Any group admin can delete it; when they do, it disappears for all its members.
In a group you can write tips and values, which are only visible inside it, or add public posts by any tipper, which remain their author's and are not copied. Group admins post directly; if the group allows it, the other members send proposals that the group admins review twice (first the submission and then the proposal, which members can support) before they enter the collection. If something written inside the group is discarded, it is deleted. Each tipper can write up to ten tips and ten values per day in each group.
The admins of a public group can ask for it to appear in the groups directory. Before that, its name and description are reviewed with artificial intelligence and, when in doubt, by the platform's administrators; every change to the name or description is reviewed again. Any tipper can report a group. The platform's administrators may remove a group from the directory or delete it when it does not comply with these Terms or applicable law.
Followers and private messages. Any tipper can follow others; each tipper's lists of followers and followed tippers are public. Tippers can write private messages to each other, and each one chooses in their profile who can write to them: nobody, their connections (the tippers they follow and the members of their groups), or anyone. To someone you are not a connection of, you can only send a request: a single message, without links, until they accept it; you can send up to five requests a day. You can delete the messages you have sent at any time (the other person will see "Message deleted" in their place), block another tipper (while it lasts, neither of you can write to the other, although the conversation stays visible), and report a conversation. Private messages must follow the same content rules as tips. Messaging is a simple way for tippers to get in touch, not a secure communication service: do not use it to share sensitive information. We may review conversations when necessary to handle reports, prevent abuse, maintain the service, or comply with the law, and remove messaging from anyone who breaks these Terms.
Events. Any tipper with a complete profile can organize events, online or in person, to write tips and values together (up to three a day). The organizer chooses the date, the length, the places and, as the case may be, the link of the call or the address of the meeting, and can change them or cancel the event until it starts; those who signed up receive a notification. Tips for Humanity does not organize the events, does not take part in them and does not provide the call service: each organizer is responsible for their event, and each participant for their conduct and their own safety. We recommend always meeting in public places. An event only appears in the list of Events once its title and description have been checked with artificial intelligence and, if in doubt, by the administrators of the platform; every change of the title or the description is checked again. Any tipper can report an event, and the administrators of the platform can take it out of the list or cancel it when it breaches these Terms or the applicable law. After the event, the organizer marks who attended and publishes what was written, signed by them; the attendees receive an invitation to sign it, and only those who accept appear as authors (they can accept later). Each author can leave whenever they want, and the post is deleted for everyone when no author is left. What is published follows the same content rules and the same license as any tip, and it is public (listed or not). An event can also be created inside a group (if the group lets you post in it): then only its members see it, it does not appear in the list of Events and what is published afterwards stays in the group. Whoever leaves a group leaves its events that have not started yet, and the ones they organize are cancelled.
You can delete any of your tips at any time from the section with your tips. The tip disappears from the platform immediately.
You can also delete your entire account at any time from your profile. Your account, email address, profile, all of your tips, the tippers you follow, and your private conversations (which also disappear for the other person) are deleted immediately.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Deletion does not extend to copies, screenshots, videos, or posts made outside the platform while the tip was public.
You retain ownership of the tips you publish. By publishing a tip, you guarantee that it is your own and that you have the right to publish it.
By publishing a tip, you grant TOP HTML, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, and publicly communicate the tip on the Tips for Humanity website together with the context you have accepted, and to make the technical adaptations necessary to do so.
This license ends when you delete the tip or your account, except with respect to information we must retain under a legal obligation.
You agree to use the platform lawfully, respectfully, and in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
